Introducing i-Saves: a discount platform built for those who serve and learn

Government staff and university students hold up a country — and are the two segments commerce forgets. i-Saves verifies you once, gives you a special eWallet, and applies group pricing automatically at every checkout.

The segment nobody courts

Malaysia has roughly 1.6 million government servants and over a million higher-education students. They are verifiable, creditworthy and concentrated — yet the average discount experience for them is a paper student card held up sheepishly at a register, or a civil-service circular nobody reads. Meanwhile merchants spend heavily on blanket promotions that reach everyone except the group they actually want.

i-Saves starts from one idea: if you can prove who you are once, you should never have to prove it again — and the price should follow you automatically.

How it works

Verification comes first. A ministry HR directory or campus SSO confirms your segment and issues a digital Saves Pass — a rotating credential with your tier, not your identity. At checkout, online or in person, the merchant sees only a yes/no: does this person qualify for the staff price? The discount resolves at the till before payment is confirmed. No coupons, no codes, no minimum-spend puzzles.

Payments run through the iWallet — Touch 'n Go-style rails (DuitNow QR and ID, cards, transit, bills) tuned for these segments: payroll-deducted top-ups for staff, spend controls for students, and an itemised ledger that shows exactly how much your verification saved you this month.

The Aggregate Exchange

The second half of the platform is the part no one else has: a privacy-safe data engine that pushes cohort-level demand signals to e-commerce platforms. Not personal data — the opposite. Category demand indices, price-elasticity bands and campaign-readiness scores, computed with k-anonymity floors and differential-privacy noise so no individual is ever reconstructable.

A platform planning a students-only laptop sale can subscribe to the aggregate before funding the subsidy — and ship a campaign that converts because it aimed at real demand. Verified demand in, better-funded discounts out: that is the flywheel.

Members can see which aggregates describe their cohort and opt out of contributing at any time. Merchants get a campaign console with conversion-based billing. In the Aggregate Exchange schema, "pii": null is enforced by design, not by promise.

“Public servants and students should never have to hunt for a deal. With i-Saves, the deal hunts for them — and the data that funds it protects the very people it describes.”

What is next

i-Saves is in private beta with two ministries and three campus pilots this quarter. The 2027 roadmap: an open merchant network, transit and textbook pricing nationwide, the Aggregate Exchange API for platform partners, and new verified segments — B40 households, OKU and seniors. If your agency, campus or store wants in, the contact page is open.
